If you cannot make it live (or wish to revisit the material), a recording will be made available about 48 hours after the session. Live attendance is preferred on Mind Oasis and is part of what we call our special sauce!

We can feel quite lost amidst life’s upheavals but this disorientation can also inspire us to seek a safe direction out.

In this workshop we will investigate and activate three sources of refuge that assist us in alleviating fear and building confidence.

As the second class falls around the Solstice (Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer in the Southern Hemisphere) we will harness the symbolism of regeneration and renewal in personal contemplations and rituals to firm up our outer and inner refuge. Becoming accustomed to resting in our own sense of sanctuary, from that place of integration we can then move back out into the world with more peace, clarity and connection.

This workshop will include:

  • Setting Intention
  • Teaching
  • Contemplation
  • Discussion

About Cindy Lee

Cindy Lee has trained in the Indo-Tibetan traditions of Buddhism and Yoga for over 25 years.

Co-teaching at international workshops and retreats for more than a decade with her late partner, Brian K. Smith (Lama Marut) Cindy continues their collaborative work of sharing the dharma with the intention of integrating wisdom and compassion in daily life.

Most recently, Cindy’s teachings have been informed by her experience of grief and death; exploring themes such as the role of giving and receiving grace and mercy in relationship, living in uncertainty and impermanence, being in the between state of liminality and kindly baring witness to the body-mind processes in trust of the natural intelligence of grief.

Cindy lives in rural Australia and works as a carer. She is a performer and singer-songwriter with a new band, Raven & the Dove, formed with her new partner.
