(convert to your time zone)
An 8-Week Series with Karuna; the fifth in her Living Beautifully year-long exploration with Pema Chödrön. No need to have attended the prior modules -- you're welcome to register for individual modules or the entire year-long series. This is sure to be a special teaching, as she will have just returned from a 3-week meditation retreat.
Each class will be an invitation to recharge your battery, recommit to living beautifully, and reset your intention for the week.
In this module, we will be leaning on Pema Chödrön’s “The Compassion Book.” which you can purchase here: https://amzn.to/33v8GDG
Also available are lojong cards (Compassion Cards) that can be placed on your fridge or altar throughout the week to inspire and recharge your practice! Click here to purchase: ttps://amzn.to/39xVWQO
The lojong teachings – or mind-training teachings – are Tibetan Buddhist slogans that are pithy and potent reminders for how to open our hearts to whatever is arising in our day-to-day life.Short enough to be memorized, the slogans are rich enough that we’ll explore the “top ten” or so over the series.
In the example, “In postmeditation, be a child of illusion,” the work is done on the cushion so that that there can be a sense of gentleness as you look out into the world; there is ease in your approach to daily life.
