“Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life.” – Buddha

We are often talking about Wisdom and Compassion; this class uses logic to understand both thinking and feelings. Exploring the Buddhist concept of past and future lives, we learn how to access true knowing (of our mind) love (in our heart) and experience what is like to be in love with the present moment without being caught up in the drama of our current human condition.

In this class we will learn how Compassion (love) anchors the inner Wisdom (unshakable valid perception). We will apply practical tools to help us become better equipped to live a life of meaning, make positive contributions to the world, and fulfill a greater purpose within this short lifetime.

No meditation experience required.

We will reference traditional Buddhist text:

Light on the Path to Freedom by Gyaltsab Je (1364-1432) on the Buddha's pronouncement of the need for logic.

Excerpt from Jewel of the True Thought, a commentary to Master Dharmakirti's Commentary on Valid Perception by Geshe Yeshe Wangchuk (b. 1928) of Sera Mey Tibetan Monastery.
