Empowerment through the Voice
Have trouble expressing yourself in your relationship, at work, in your family? These techniques, both new and ancient, will help you find your voice and become embodied in your sharing.
with Melissa Grogan
For those seeking transformation, voice work is a powerful tool. The practices of breath, mindfulness, presence, and creative use of sound help us deepen into self-knowing and healing. To heal is to return to a state of balance.
This is class is vocal empowerment and it's much more. It invites healing that can change many aspects of your life. If that interests YOU, this class is for you.
The body holds patterns of the mind. These patterns affect our breath, our voice, how we show up in relationships, for ourselves, at work, in school – everything. They get in the way of our being able to show up fully in the Now.
The mind typically is running old stories, old beliefs, regularly. These stories were created at another time in life and (believe it or not) they helped us get to where we are now. But they have become an obstacle to growth. It’s time to let them go.
Through practice, and time, we can clear up the effects that these messages have had on the body. We use advanced voice work techniques (available to all levels of experience) that transform stuck patterns and bring freedom and focus.
This six-class series class is therapeutic in nature. During this class, we will focus on:
~ Mindfulness Meditation
~ (Awareness of, Freeing, Mechanics of, etc.) Breath
~ Acceptance / Yielding / Impermanence
~ Presence with Sound
~ Listening
~ Grounding
~ Destructuring **
~ Clarity of Thought
~ and Creative Play!
**Destructuring is a set of exercises to release unconscious, constrictive, physical patterns in the body.
Each week you will receive prompts, videos and supplemental materials to deepen your learning.
We will also be working from parts of the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. It is not necessary to own the book for this class.

“The ability to speak from the Soul has largely been lost in modern society and we desperately want and need to get it back. It can be taught.”
