Next up for the 2020 Meditation Challenge Reunion, Community Meditation teacher Maria Novak will help you REALLY get in the present moment. Let's combine the ideas of being fully in the present moment and giving yourself an exceptionally luxurious treat! By learning to savor our "me" time (even if it's only 2 minutes!) we can enjoy the things we cherish so much more. Join Maria for an exploration into Chocolate Meditation - and don't forget to bring your chocolate (or whatever yummy treat you wish to relish)!

These mini-workshops are designed to bring you meditation practices that are practiced OFF your cushion and IN the world! Expand your horizons to include the senses, youth, somatics, and lovingkindness practices you can do while at the grocery store or in a traffic jam!

You can register for just this one session or all of the reunion workshops by selecting the bundle option. Not able to make them all live? By registering you'll get the recording in your Mind Oasis account to visit at a later date.

About Maria

Maria lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where she is a yoga and meditation instructor. Her journey began with meditation in 1997.

Maria believes that meditation can take on many different forms, and all these forms can lead us toward the most compassionate, most genuine version of ourselves. Maria’s classes focus on getting in touch with our bodies in order to ground, center, and accept our whole being. She believes in being as gentle as possible with all aspects of oneself.

She enjoys cooking (and eating!) plant-based meals, travelling to connect with friends everywhere, singing and playing harmonium, practicing yin yoga, Sufi love poetry, abundant sunshine, and anything that is rainbow-colored.

Maria received her RYT-200 from Perennial Yoga and Meditation in 2016 and her 300-hr meditation teaching certificate from Mind Oasis in 2020. In her former life, she has worked as a project manager, a massage therapist, a business owner, a programmer, a bank teller, and a shampoo girl!
