“Compassion for others begins with kindness to ourselves.” – Pema Chodron
The Bodhisattva Path is actually a journey that starts with a desire to be happy, and it is followed by a wish to help others. The steps taken along this journey lead one to take actions towards achieving personal freedom and the ability to help other to free themselves from suffering and reach a state of peace.
Compassion is the core of every bodhisattva’s heart. Deep understanding of compassion leads to freedom from mental afflictions, deliberate action, and a path with purpose and meaning.
