Helping others to thrive isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I've devoted my entire career to helping people feel empowered to live a healthy life in body, mind, and spirit. I’ve created the Thriving Course to empower people, especially women to overcome adversity and flourish forward.
As a child, my body craved movement. My parents redirected my running, jumping and bouncing into a flurry of activities. This inspired my desire to earn undergrad and master’s degrees in health and exercise science. Early in my career, I was a personal fitness trainer to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
My desire to expand beyond physical health led to a cascade of events: from being extensively trained in Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program; to achieving a certificate in spirituality at the University of Saint Joseph to becoming a certified health and wellness coach.
After launching three startups, I joined Aetna to head wellness and mindfulness strategies for nearly a decade. I was the recipient of the Chairman’s Leadership Award and the Norman Vincent Peale Award for Positive Thinking for integrating mindfulness into corporate culture.
I’ve authored two books, Thriving When Your Cosmic Egg Is Cracked: A Mindful Journey and Mindful Exercise: A Bridge Between Yoga and Exercise. I was recently voted one of 12 Most Powerful Women of the Mindfulness Movement. A proud mother of two adult children, you’ll most often find me on a hiking trail or in the kitchen.
