You have probably heard of the three doshas: vata, pitta and kapha, and maybe even taken a quiz. But what do they really mean? And how can they help you come back into balance?
Ayurveda teaches us that we are our own healers. Through meditation, embodied practices and ancient vedic teachings on how to understand the world around us and in us, we will explore together our own wisdom to help bring us back into our natural state of being with simple practices.
In this class, we will begin to:
Understand what Ayurveda is.
Discuss Ayurveda through the lens of Sankhya’s philosophy: the journey of consciousness to matter.
Dive into the qualities of the five great elements (ether, air, fire, water and earth) and see how they manifest in our bodies, minds, emotions, seasons, food, environment, lifestyle, relationships and basically everywhere!
Apply our understanding of the elements to bring awareness to the experience of our body, mind and heart.
Discover simple Ayurvedic practices to tune yourself into harmony with your natural state of being.
To prepare for the class, please attend from a clear space (with an open mind) and have a journal and pen with you.
If you cannot make it live (or wish to revisit the material), a recording will be made available about 48 hours after the session. Live attendance is preferred on Mind Oasis and is part of what we call our special sauce!
